Things to enter! - Don't be shy

Hail King John

Who will be this years
'Fastest Person in the Club'

There are a couple of events on the horizon that may interest those of you that have thought about entering a competition but have never got around to it.

Saturday 24th November 2007
ETWALL EAGLES SWIMMING CLUB
3rd Masters Open Meet

This was a great event last year and we managed to rouse a decent rabble to attend. They even have 25m sprints on the menu for those that don't like the middle distance events of 50m or more. The six swimmer cannon relays also gave us the opportunity to make up some teams of people who would never normally swim together.

We will be running the the Fastest Person in the Club competition again which was taken so majestically last year by 'King' John Hamilton. Remember, the old line of "If I had entered I would have won it" will only be treated with the laughs of derision it deserves.

2nd & 3rd February 2008
City of Coventry Swimming Club
Masters Meet 2008

Upside - Its just around the corner so no excuses for not turning out.

Downside - Its long course (50m is a long way without a break in the middle for a chat and a cup of tea)

There is a whole load of weird and wonderful events on offer here including a gigantic 10 swimmer cannon relay, Hurrah.
